Sometimes, life seems to tell you that your dreams are too big, too far, or simply impossible. I come from an ordinary family in a small town in Eastern Europe. Throughout my life, I’ve heard countless reasons why I shouldn’t pursue my dreams. For example, because I lacked connections or wealth, I was told that my success and opportunities would be limited. People close to me often said that my goals were too ambitious or that my ideas were impossible.

Fast forward 20 years, and I’ve lived in Europe, Asia, and North America for extended periods, earned a PhD in a language I hadn’t spoken before, and become an educator and researcher. I am also the proud mother of three fierce dragons and one beautiful princess. None of this success would have been possible if I had believed that my background would limit me.

So, take your chances and pursue your dreams—anything is possible, and it is never too late. I hope my journey inspires other women to believe in their own potential and to chase the life they truly desire.
