Turning 40 was like turning the page to a new and exciting chapter in my life. At the time, I felt like I was on the precipice of something that I could not quite grasp at the time, but I was more than ready for it!
I am a creative being who is drawn to the beauty in life: the connection between human beings, animals, and nature. As a little girl, the magic of life was very clear to me, and more than once, I “lost” myself (literally, my parents could not find me) because I got caught up in the glory of what was around me – I would disappear into a stranger’s home, into a beautiful store. I was ready to follow where the beauty and love would take me, much to my parents dismay! Now, in my late 40’s, I find myself going back to that place, seeing all the beauty in the world and taking the time to go and explore it when I am called to do so.
In this beautiful life, I get to be a mom. My sons have taught me to live more fully and authentically. I also get to be a life-partner to someone who gives me the space the grow into the best version of myself with unconditional love. I also get to be a bonus partent to my step-son.
I work as a union advisor where I have the chance to stand up for and support others, which has had so many positive impacts on my own life. I am also an actor. I get to tell important stories about truth, love, and heartbreak. We are all connected, more than we realize many times. I am grateful for the work that I get to do while I am here.
I am proud of breaking cycles and living my truth. I am proud of the fact that I have never given up on myself. No matter what happens, I keep coming back to myself: showing up again and again, and trusting my inner compass above all else. I am proud that I can model that for my children. I want them to know I am always here for them, however what is more important than that is that they must be always be there for themselves, no matter what is going on around them.
We are never alone. I believe that we are loved more than we can even comprehend.
