I’m Mireille, a portrait photographer, storyteller, and dreamer based in La Prairie on Montreal’s South Shore. Originally from Germany, I moved to Canada in 2022, bringing with me a lifelong love for art, design, and the quiet beauty in people’s lives.
I’ve worked as a professional portrait photographer since 2016, although my creative path began earlier in graphic design. That background shaped how I see everything (the composition, light, detail, and emotion) and it quietly goes into every session I create today, whether it leans into a soft, fairytale atmosphere or a more refined editorial direction.
Most of the women who come to me initially arrive for someone else, often for their daughter and a milestone they don’t want to miss, such as a senior session before graduation. Yet somewhere during the experience, something often shifts. They begin to see themselves differently. Not instead of her, but alongside her.
At the heart of my world is my family. I’m married to the love of my life, and together we’re raising two wonderful children: a son who is 23 and a daughter who is 6. The wide age gap between them has given me a deep appreciation for the fleeting moments of childhood, the joys of watching my grown son navigate the world, and the pure, unfiltered wonder of my little girl. My family is my anchor, my inspiration, and often, my favorite subjects.
For me, photography is never just about images. It is about creating space where people feel valued, comfortable, and quietly confident in front of the camera. Every session becomes a small story in itself, unfolding naturally, and I feel genuinely honoured to be the one to hold and capture it.
